United Airlines Bringing Back Free Snacks For Economy Class

United Airlines has decided to bring back free snacks for its economy class passengers beginning in February.
Continental Airlines stopped giving free snacks to passengers in 2011 after its merger with United Airlines which had quit giving free snacks in 2008.

In a statement United cited a “listening campaign” as part of the reason why they are bringing back the complimentary snacks. Spokeswoman Karen May said food plays a big role in passengers flight experience.

“We’re refocusing on the big and little things that we know matter to our customers and shape how they feel about their travel experience,” said Jimmy Samartzis, United’s vice president of food services and United Clubs. “We’re bringing back complimentary snacks that are a nod to our global presence. They also add that extra level of service our employees will be proud to deliver and will make a big difference for our customers.”

I used to love flying with Continental Airlines, but when they became United a lot of things changed including the price of snacks. This for me and many others was so annoying! The flight ticket was already so expensive and on top of that I had to pay for snacks??? NO. You just don’t mess with someone’s free snacks.
