Charli XCX Criticizes BBC for Airing Men’s Rights Documentary

After the BBC aired her documentary exploring feminism in the music industry, The F Word and MeCharli XCX isn’t reacting too kindly to the news that a men’s rights documentary will air on BBC Three.

The documentary, Men at War, examines how some men feel threatened by women and the LGBT community, which in recent years have been demanding greater rights and equality. The singer tweeted several reactions to the news, including “SORRY BUT THIS F***ING DISGUSTS ME” followed by a link to a snippet of the film.

Airing her displeasure over the prime time placement (the documentary airs at 9:00 pm while her documentary aired at 10:30 pm) Charli XCX tweeted, “ughhhhhh priorities. come on.”

Admitting that she hasn’t seen the entire documentary, Charli criticized the clip she did see for showing a regressive view towards women and the LGBT community.
