Uber announced a price cut on fare prices in 100 US and Canadian cities, but drivers are not happy about it.
The announcement comes after the company faces an after the holidays-slump.
“Seasonality affects every business, and Uber is no exception,” said the company post.
The statement also claims there plausible way to cut prices without affecting drivers earnings.
According to TechCrunch “Uber claims that the increased demand will offset the lower prices and that drivers will make more money. But if this doesn’t work out, Uber says its prices will go back up again.”
This is the third year in a row Uber cuts prices and while the chance of having a cheaper ride is appealing to me, drivers are still skeptical of the potential loss of earnings.
