Backstreet Boy Nick Carter was arrested in Key West, Florida, following a fight outside a bar. In the early hours of Thursday morning, Carter was booked at the Monroe County jail and charged with misdemeanor battery.
The incident happened at the Hogs Breath Saloon and a police report indicates that Carter was intoxicated. It explains that when a bartender refused to serve the singer, Carter and Michael Rae Papayans became aggressive.
Papayans allegedly head-butted an employee of the saloon while Carter allegedly grabbed a bouncer by the throat. Both were arrested and charged.
This is not Carter’s first encounter with Florida law enforcement. In 2002 he was arrested after an altercation at a night club in the state. He also was charged with driving under the influence in 2005, for which he attended alcohol education classes and 12-step meetings.
