Hopefully, you’re not craving a burrito on February 8th because all Chipotle locations will be closed for a food safety meeting.
In an interview, Chris Arnold, the company’s spokesperson said the locations would close for several hours to address a wide array of issues. We can assume those issues are the string of food born illnesses happening across the Nation.
CNN Money reports, “Chipotle () has suffered from several outbreaks of E. coli, Salmonella and norovirus that infected customers and led to an unrelenting stream of criticism and mockery on social media.”
Arnold said they want to take that time to address safety measures as well as thank their employees for their works. Arnold also claims Chipotle will have a fresh marketing plan to bring customers have stayed away from the chain back.
“”We want to thank our teams for all of their hard work, to discuss some of the changes we are making to enhance food safety, to talk about the restaurants role in all of that and to answer questions from employees,” he said.
We just want you to get better Chipotle so we don’t have to stay away anymore. 😦 #GetWellChipotle
