Artists React to Super Tuesday, Trump

By Amanda Wicks

Super Tuesday confirmed Donald Trump’s popularity among Republican voters, which caused many to raise their voices in concern. Among those voices are several artists, including Sara Bareilles, Ellie Goulding and Demi Lovato, who took to social media to share their concerns about Trump as a presidential possibility.

While Bareilles took a more somber tone in her tweet, Goulding joked that she wasn’t ready for the apocalypse just yet. Lovato used her tweet to share her support for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, while warning her followers about celebrity culture.

Miley Cyrus, on the other hand, used her Instagram to share a photo of Trump, captioning the image, “Donald Trump is a f—ing nightmare!” She better be careful. Trump said in February that, if elected president, he would redo the libel laws so it would be easier to sue the media. It seems as though he could extend that to artists and other celebrities who disagree with him.
