This week’s WOW is, PEDERNALES TEMPRANILLO.
This red wine blends Tempranillo from both the High Plains and the Hill Country to produce a robust varietal Tempranillo. It expresses the familiar notes of cherry and mineral with additional hints of dark chocolate and spice. The finish is supple with ample body and a moderate acidity that trails out nicely on the palate. It was a Silver Medal Winner at this year’s Houston Livestock Show.
And don’t forget to check out the “Cheese of the Week,” KERRYGOLD IMPORTED DUBLINER.
Dubliner is a robust aged cows’ milk cheese with a distinctive rounded flavor and a natural hint of sweetness. Aged for 12 months, it has elements of a mature cheddar with a somewhat crumbly
texture, the sweet nutty tones of a Swiss and piquant bite of aged Parmesan. This is a cheese that melts beautifully, so useful in casseroles, but is also delicious on sandwiches or served as a table cheese. Pairs wonderfully with Merlot and Chardonnay or an Irish Stout. 7oz.
