‘Bachelor’ Ben Higgins Proposes; New ‘Bachelorette’ Announced

Lauren Kelly

Every season, ‘The Bachelor‘ host Chris Harrison guarantees that it will be the “MOST DRAMATIC SEASON EVERRRRRRRR!” And well, this season may have been just that.

After not 1, not 2, but a THREE hour finale last night, (which of course included a 1-hour AFTER the final rose) ‘Bachelor’ Ben Higgins handed out his final rose and proposed to…

Lauren Bushnell grabbed Ben’s final rose!

From the very beginning, I’ve always thought that these two had more of a connection than anyone else. The problem though was Ben told BOTH girls he loved them, which can I just say…IS SO CONFUSING! Poor girls, no wonder there’s always so much drama!

Anyways, after a tearful and heartfelt goodbye to Jojo, Ben got down on one knee and proposed to Lauren with a Neil Lane diamond engagement ring worth $100,000, but not before calling Lauren’s dad and asking for permission for his daughter’s hand in marriage. (AWWWWWW!)

As for the proposal, this is what Ben told Lauren, “I came into this honestly feeling unlovable. Like I couldn’t be loved or that I was never gonna find that person to love me fully. And then we go through this experience. It’s been a journey that’s full of goodbyes. Lauren, I never want to say goodbye to you.”

So cute, congrats to the happy couple!

Now…onto the new season of ‘The Bachelorette‘…

After tons of internet rumors thought that Caila Quinn would hand out roses next, turns out that runner up (and Texas girl!) JoJo Fletcher is the next Bachelorette!

But don’t worry, you won’t have to wait until the fall for more drama…you can always watch season 3 of ‘Bachelor In Paradise‘ this summer to pass the time!
