Come See These ADOREable Adoptable Pups At Raising Cane’s April 4th-7th!

We’ve got our first big #HoustonLove Affair happening on 4/10 at Warehouse Live with private performances by Ben Rector and Haley Reinhart! Tickets are free when you share your #HoustonLove experience on social media and we find you, email us your story at or call 713-212-5965 and share it during the morning show. You can also get tickets throughout the day on MIX 96.5 and on site from 4pm-7pm at Raising Cane’s April 4th thru 7th (details below). We’re doing this big event to say THANK YOU to all of you out there who spread Houston Love and also to raise money and supplies for ADORE Houston with silent auctions at the event, raffle tickets and donations. They’re a local non-profit rescue group working to fight the overpopulation of homeless pets in Houston and finding them forever homes.

We’ll be live out at 4 different Raising Cane’s Monday thru Thursday, April 4-7th on your drive home from 4p-7p, giving away tickets to the Houston Love show and trying to find forever homes for these dogs that ADORE has rescued. We’ll also be taking cash and dog food/supply donations for the rescue to help them keep doing the good work they’re doing in our community. Here are the adoptable pups you can meet out at Raising Cane’s every day:

Brittany/Peaches: BritneyAdore22  Britney/Peaches came from a cruely case from a high kill shelter in Houston. Poor Britney was tied to a brick wall with only a 1 foot radius to move. There was so much feces and urine everywhere that Britney/Peaches did not have a single clean spot to sit down. If that was bad enough Britney/Peaches had 8 fiesty little puppies with her that were living in the same conditions. Luckily, Britney/Peaches’ and her little family was rescued from those horrible conditions. That’s when ADORE stepped in. We decided to take in the WHOLE FAMILY. Now all the little ones have found their forever homes, and poor Britney/Peaches was left behind.

Kenai: kenai3 Come See These ADOREable Adoptable Pups At Raising Canes April 4th 7th!   Hi! My name is Kenai! I’m a big Bernese Mountain Dog/Shepherd mix with a lot of love to give! Even though I am huge, I’ve still got the heart of a puppy and am very playful and fun-loving. I’d be great in a family that could take me on walks or play fetch with me in the backyard. I am up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Unfortuantely, I am heartworm positive but the kind people at ADORE Houston will be putting me through treatment soon. However, I will need a nice place to call my own during my recovery, or forever if you’re into that kinda thing too.

Vida:  vida1 Come See These ADOREable Adoptable Pups At Raising Canes April 4th 7th!  Vida is my name; following you around all day is my game! I’ll stay near you so you remember I’m available for petting. If I had it my way, someone would always be petting me. My past life wasn’t the greatest. I was found by an ADORE volunteer after being thrown out in a ditch. I was sad, I was unwanted and unloved. I wasn’t cared for, and I was left with nothing. When I saw the nice ADORE volunteer I was relieved that someone was there for me, but little did I know that she was going to save my life. Without her I would probably be dead on the streets, but she opened her heart for me. ADORE made me feel all better, and gave me a grand ole place to stay. However, I am still looking for a place of my own and I see that your couch looks pretty comfy.

Angelina: angelina1 Come See These ADOREable Adoptable Pups At Raising Canes April 4th 7th!  “3 legged dogs are the best dogs to have in my opinion” – Angelina. My name is Angelina! I am part adorable and part lovable, but in reality I am just a typical heeler mix. I am estimated to be 18 months old and weighing about 30lbs (but I could stand to drop a few pounds)! I was rescued by ADORE from a high kill shelter with only a partial amputation. Who ever did my amputation before left me with the knee up and I was having a lot of issues with balance, and I was still trying to use it. Therefore, I was having some issues getting around, but ADORE didn’t let that bother them. They saw more for the cute pup I am. They rescued me and took me to the vet to get me a once over. They suggested that I have a full amputation so I could get around better. While I was there they learned that I was heartworm positive as well, but ADORE still didn’t give up on me. We did the amputation, and a few months later I went through life saving heartworm treatment! Now that I’m getting better, I just need a family forever.

Nikki: nikki Come See These ADOREable Adoptable Pups At Raising Canes April 4th 7th!   Hello! My name is Nikki and I am a beautiful adult Lab mix. I was rescued from a very bad part of town, where we were starving and staying in an abandoned house for shelter. After my guardian angel came and swooped me up, I received the care I needed and am ready for my forever home. When I was first rescued, everyone was calling me sugar bear because of my sweet disposition! I also have beautiful chestnut eyes and just an overall joy to be around!
