Happy Cinco De Mayo, Houston.
However you plan to celebrate today, I can only imagine it will involve some great Mexican food and a few margaritas to wash it down.
But could you imagine what it would be like to combine the greatest Mexican restaurant appetizer (besides chips & salsa of course) with everyone’s flour tortilla wrapped greatness?
Taco Bell might just be putting their imagination to new lengths.
The latest ‘test’ item to come out of their kitchen is the Jalapeno Popper Quesarito! It appears to include sliced jalapenos and cheese (the jalapeno popper part of the equation) sandwiched between two flour tortillas wrapped around a filling of rice, nacho cheese, sour cream, and your choice of seasoned ground beef, shredded chicken, or steak.
Here’s the bad part….it’s only being tested in Charlotte, North Carolina area Taco Bells at the moment. Though we can imagine a creation of this nature will indefinitely make it to menus across the South, you’ll have to make the commute for the time being to give it a whirl.
