Celine Dion is my new hero.
Among the many, many powerful (and tear-jerking) moments of the 2016 Billboard Music Awards last night was Ke$ha‘s cover of Bob Dylan‘s “It Ain’t Me Babe“, the Madonna/Stevie Wonder Prince tribute, and of course– Celine Dion‘s MOVING performance of Queen‘s “The Show Must Go On.”
Her voice is a powerhouse on it’s own, but it’s what happened AFTER the performance that has everyone still wiping the tears away.
Singer/songwriter Seal presented Celine with the Icon Award for Lifetime Achievement, but then she was completely surprised when her oldest son, René-Charles, came out to hand her the award. (watch her full performance HERE)
Celine dedicated the performance to her late husband and producer, René Angélil, who passed away in January at age 73 from throat cancer.
