It has truly been a terrible weekend for people in Orlando. Prior to the devastating night club shootings, singer Christina Grimmie from season 6 of ‘The Voice,’ was fatally shot by a fan at a meet & greet event after a performance. She was 22 years old.

Christina had just performed a show on Friday night, when afterwards she was signing autographs and a man approached and opened fire. The man who killed her was Kevin James Loibl, 27, of St. Petersburg, Florida, according to Orlando police. Loibl fatally shot himself after the singer’s brother, Marcus Grimmie, tackled him to the ground. About 120 people were at the meet-and-greet, and the brother’s quick thinking may have saved multiple other lives. Christina was rushed to a hospital, where she later died.

Adam Levine was Christina’s coach on The Voice, and has decided to help the family in this awful time by paying for her funeral as well as her mother’s travel expenses.

Christina’s manager Brian Teefey set up a GoFundMe page to help with the family’s expenses. Her brother wrote, “Words cannot express…literally I have no words.

RIP sweet girl.
