One of my absolute FAVORITE movies of all time is 1991’s “Father Of The Bride,” starring Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley. I think I sneak in a movie quote from it almost everyday, seriously. lol
Ann Gluck is the real estate agent in charge of the real house where it was filmed, which is now up for sale! And if you just so happen to have $1.998 million laying around, it can be all yours…INCLUDING the original basketball goal used in the movie.
According to the Chronicle, “This is actually one of two homes used as location sites in the 1991 Father of the Bride remake and the 1995 sequel. The outdoor basketball and wedding scenes were shot at Almansor St., while a green-shuttered Colonial in Pasadena was used to depict the exterior. Gluck has sold many Southern California homes featured in movies and she says this is one of her favorites. “The house is gorgeous — a great character home, great family home,” she says. The four-bedroom, four-bath is 4,397 square feet and includes a 600-square-foot guest house and 18,110-square-foot three-car garage. The exterior has traditional curbside appeal with columns, a red door and black shutters, while the interior is elegant with a formal dining room, walnut-paneled den, and grand staircase. “To have all of that and a starring role in such a well-loved film is icing on the cake!” Gluck says.”
