It was the biggest series not only on Netflix, but of the last year.
‘Making A Murderer’ became a huge sensation with people all over the country. It sparked debate, opinionated views on our justice system, and so many more issues. But the series based on the criminal case of Steven Avery hooked us all in.
Though the show ended where the case was left off (Avery being found guilty of murder) there’s now so much more that the 10 episodes didn’t cover. Especially with different fan theories, conspiracies, and even a new defense lawyer in the picture.
Which is why Netflix has green lit a second season of the documentary series. Though there’s no exact release date or number of episodes revealed yet, Variety states that the new season will feature Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey’s challenge of their convictions led by Avery’s new lawyer Kathleen Zellner. Who already has an impressive career with 17 overturned cases in wrongful convictions.
Stay tuned for more craziness surrounding the small Wisconsin town. And probably more epic phone dialogue of those great lines, “Yeah?…….yeah. Yeah.”
