Taylor Swift denied that she’d be releasing new music in October, even though that would have kept her on the schedule she’s maintained ever since she first released her self-titled debut in 2006. But is she preparing to share something after all?

Country singer and #Squad member Kelsea Ballerini shared a video on Snapchat over the weekend that previewed a new song. But here’s the thing, the voice sounded much more like Swift’s than Ballerini’s. The brief video showed a man working on a song. “We didn’t know it, thought we could grow it / beautiful for a moment / we were roses, yeah,” a woman’s voice can be heard singing. Considering her brief, whirlwind relationship with actor Tom Hiddleston, is this new Swift music?

That Ballerini would be teasing it doesn’t seem so far-fetched considering that the two are good friends. Ballerini joined Swift in Nashville when she brought her 1989 Tour to the city. And then in June, Swift and Hiddleston went on a double date with Ballerini and her man (via Bustle).

At the very least, it could be a Swift-Ballerini collaboration, but it’s so much more exciting to think it could be new Swift music. Listen below and decide for yourself.
