Tragedy struck this weekend when 24 year old Miami Marlins pitching ace Jose Fernandez died in a boating accident with two friends. Jose‘s performance on the field speaks for itself, but his infectious smile and child-like love for the game are a big part of the legacy he leaves behind. Last night’s trumpet version of “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” is the most emotional moment I’ve ever seen on the baseball diamond.

Of course this wasn’t the only time emotions have run high since the tragic news broke. Here’s Marlins executive Mike Hill talking to the media about losing their beloved Jose.
