Legendary Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson joined DK this morning to talk some football as we are just 10o days out from Super Bowl LI, happening right here in Houston.
That’s right, October 28th marks 100 days out from Super Bowl LI happening at NRG Stadium on Sunday, February 5th. The Houston Super Bowl Host Committee is celebrating the 100-day countdown with a full day of giveaways and special appearances by “TD” – the official mascot of the Host Committee. TD will be at different locations around the city, getting fans excited about the Super Bowl coming back to Houston. Now that we are getting closer to the big game, Houston Super Bowl Host Committee is also bringing the excitement to our surrounding communities with Touchdown Tours. Touchdown Tours are free events that offer live entertainment, food, games and more to help promote fun and healthy community activities. The next Touchdown Tour is this Saturday, October 29th at Sunnyside Park, near NRG Stadium. As we prepare for the big game, the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee is also giving back to the local community through numerous charitable giving initiatives, including the “Luminaries of the Game” gala, which ‘illuminates’ all of that makes Houston an extraordinary place to host Super Bowl LI. This is event offers an opportunity for guests to spend an evening with Pro Football Hall of Famers and Houston’s best and brightest individuals. All the proceeds generated from the event will benefit the Super Bowl Host Committee’s charitable giving program, which supports non-profit organizations throughout the city with a focus on three key areas of Houston’s future: education, health and wellness, and community enhancement
